Goals
I had a defininte goal last year - to stop smoking, which I successfully did. However, during the year that I quit smoking, I picked up over 10kg!
So, my goal this year was to loose the weight that I'd collected from giving up the nicotine. I figured if I can give up nicotine, I can channel my willpower to shed the kilos. I set my mind straight, I drew up a plan, I am in the process of following through and I've been successful with My Progress so far.
And today's Insult is
Ginger Ninja
This is a nickname I have at work. I'm not sure where it came from, probably because I'm a no-shite kinda girl and, naturally, I am a ginger. I'm actually not sure whether someone calling me Ginger Ninja is actually an insult or if it is a term of endearment for a red-head?! Can anyone shed some light?
I certainly don't leap out from the shadows and physically attack people with lightning fast karate chops and airborne split kicks, but I'm not a fekking shrinking violet either.
Here is Ninja Cat, he's not ginger but he's too gawddam cute!

My friends who are gingers explained the whole "Ginger" thing to me. It is usually cool to say if it is a friend or acquaintance saying it. If it is a stranger and the tone is off, then them thar some fightin' words!
Awesome that you're still not smoking. :) I gave it up, too. One of the hardest things I've ever done, but worth it, I think.
I can't even venture a guess on the ginger ninja thing... I guess it's one of those 'shrug and go on' things.

My son's mom is Scotch and he has a red beard from hell. He is shorter than some people and looks like a garden gnome. I wonder what'd happen if he started drinkin saki?
One of my college roommates was a redhead and I lovingly referred to her as the "Ginger Pygmy" (she is of average height). It's a term of endearment :) Great post!
