Quikie Updated regarding my Brain Fart

So, yesterday I told you Plonkers about my Brain Fart and thinking that I was having a minor stroke.

Well, I went to my GP last night to get him to give me "the once over".

He tested my cholestrol, my blood sugar, my blood pressure, he peering into my every orifice, pressed and prodded other parts, made me follow some simple instructions and do silly things.  You'll be glad to know he gave me "the all clear" - FOR NOW!

I am relieved and slightly frustrated in a way, becauase I still don't know what happened to me.  He did say "If it happens again go STRAIGHT to the Emergency".  They will have a Neurologist on duty who will look at me immediately and do all the necessary tests in the hospital.

Eeek!

Lets just pray I won't need a full frontal labotomy.

Oh hon, we're going to believe everything's fine. It's so silly to tell a person to go straight to the Emergency Room when they are incapable of functioning because of a health scare. Reminds me of a billboard in my town that reads "If you're having a stroke call 911 immediately."

Keep faith.

I'm glad that everything turned out okay at the GP but I really can understand you being slightly apprehensive that it might happen again. At least now you can have peace of mind that there's nothing imminently wrong anyway. Here's hoping it doesn't happen again though Auntie Gillian, haha.

Scary, but WHEW! Have a great weekend, and use this whole episode as an excuse to just relax all weekend.

I know I said go to the doctor, but thinking it over, they never come up with anything. My girlfriend has been having intestinal problems for years, but everytime she goes to the doctor, they just give her a higher dose of her medication.

Bah, anyway. Hopefully you never have that experience again, but glad to hear you're okay.

Some time within a week, I shall post an article called Trauma and Drama about the emergency ward.

I had a stroke once and didn't know it till later. Took away my propensity for numbers and accounting. I don't know if it was related, but it turned all the hair on the right side of my body white. I just started drinking an I have not had a problem that I can remember since.

So strange that there was NOTHING to find. I have a friend who's had a lot of strange medical episodes and almost always hears from the doctor, 'nothing wrong'.

It's not that she wants there to BE something wrong, but that it would help to KNOW, if that makes sense.

I hope you have no more fartage from the brain!!
