While I was uploading Janie's birthday photos this morning, I gave KK some paints to keep her busy.

She was very quiet and I uploaded the pictures without a peep from her....

Here's why she was so quiet....she was very busy making a lovely mess for mum to clean up. She had fun tho..

Janie's Surprise 40th Birthday Celebration

A lot of time and love was put into organising my Sister, Janie's 40th Birthday party over the last week or so. Cake, decorations, food, drinks, invites, movie making, poem writing and lots of secret emails back and forth to Mick (her boyfriend) to make it a success.

Janie was indeed surprised when she arrived at The Boerewors Bar (either that or she's a much better actress than I give her credit for). We karaoked and danced and generally had a jol. The wine was flowing and we had tons of giggles.

Thanks to everyone who came to join in the celebration. I was a little disappointed that none of her friends showed up or that my mum and dad didn't put their issues aside to be there for Janie.

Nevertheless, we we still had fun.

The woman who made the cake read my email incorrectly and by the time she made the cake she only read I wanted chocolate. So she made me this other chocolate as a freebie.

Funky Hair Day at the Girls School

Megan wanted her hair sprayed Neon Orange and Blue for Funky Hair Day at School.

We ran out of blue hair spray last night so neon orange it was.

KK got three pony tails in her hair and sprayed orange too. She looked like Crusty the Clown.

Farewell to a Friend

Sharon's Les was tradgically killed in a motorbike accident last night.

I'm still shocked to the core and my heart goes out to Sharon.

I've picked up the phone a dozen times to call her today and yet I have no words for her. I can't imagine the pain and hurt she is feeling...
