Be Daft

Don't be in a hurry to be all grown up and don't stick to how "society wants us to be".

Stay silly and stay young at heart!

Who wants to be like all those other sheep-following Fuckers that put on brave faces and do everything that society wants them to do?  Don't swear too much, don't dye your hair all colours of the rainbow, don't match your shoes and handbag, don't laugh too loud or raise yer voice.
Does that stuff really matter?
Do you really care what people say?

Here is how to remain a right royal dafty:

Laugh Yer Arse Off

The best part of having a positive attitude is finding delight and humour in everyday life. Unfortunate incidents only become interesting challenges if looked at the right way. To keep a positive attitude, exercise your humour.  Laughter keeps the body young and the mind even younger.  When was the last time you exploded in laughter? I'm not talking a wee snigger, I'm talking thigh-slapping belly laughs that have you in tears and leave your cheeks feeling sore.
Be silly, act like a kid, jump on your bed naked, dance like a mofo even if someone is watching.  There's no shame in getting in touch with your inner toddler.

Don't be a sheep
Young at heart has nothing to do with how you dress but, while we're at it, there's no need for a 40 year old body to be clothed in a bikini made for a 20 year old. I don't care how hot you think you look, no one wants to see mutton dressed as laaaaaamb.  It's just fucking trashy.   And, what's up with squeezing your chubby form into those hipster jeans with your muffin top hanging over the side?  Its not attractive however trendy you think you look.  Dress appropriately.
However, don't conform.  If you want to wear stripey knee socks and dye your Love Rug green - why not?  I may be on the other side of 40, but I'm not fucking dead!  I'm not harming anyone by being original.  You can still display your originality on the outside without imitating Bozo the Clown.

Tone Down The Drama
Drama should be banned! Drama must be banned! Share your love of life with others - surround yourself with people who understand you and like the things you do.  Don't keep friendships that are negative and drop those who thrive on drama - drama is just a waste of time. Even friendships that you've had for years change.
Hopefully, you and your friends change in the same direction, but we all know that's not necessarily true or realistic. Find people who share your passion and enjoy the time you spend with them.  If they're dragging you down, Next! and move the fuck on.

Seek Passion

Finding your passion will also keep you young at heart.  Sometimes it takes time to figure out what your passion is.  Sometimes it takes a lifetime but some are lucky and find out early and follow it and develop it.  When you eventually find out what your passion is - treasure and nurture it.  Now, I don't mean spending tons of cash, hours on e-bay collecting and surrounding yourself in geeky Star Wars memorabilia. I mean find what makes you happy, what makes you talk until the cows come home.  Its easier than you think.

New Things
Don't turn yer nose up at a new dish someone suggests at a restaurant you normally wouldn't go to.  Go to the new restaurant, try the dish - its all about experiencing new things.  If you hate it, really, what do you have to lose?  Order something else, at least you know now what you don't like. There's no sense getting the same old thing on the menu everything you eat out.  You may be missing out on something earth-shattering!

Be true to who you are.

Don't be shy to share your opinions, however daft you think they may be.

Laugh Out Loud Award

It been a while since I received a blog award.  I was actually beginning to think that no one reads my wee blog anymore and that my sense of humour is far too twisted to be understood.  I was starting to think that I was the only one on my wicked wave-length...

Anyhoo, a huge thank you to the drop dead gorgeous, Jen "The Pen" Scavone over at The Sparkling Diamond who bestoved this LOL award upon wee moi!  Thank you, gurl...heart your face off!  At least I make one person smile...

The rules for this Award are as follows:
- Link to the person who awarded you.
- Seven unknown facts about yourself.
- Award to seven other people.

1.  I'd love to go back to Scotland for a touristy visit, to go skiiking, see the sights.
2.  My mouth is just like my arse;  big and in yer face.
3.  We are about to rip up our laminated wooden flooring and replacing the entire house with tiles.  I'm really excited about the change but I'm not looking forward to the fucking mess.
4.  I dreamt last night that my littlest got lost at a festival and I spent ages frantically looking for her and calling out her name.  It was the worst nightmare I've had in years!  I woke up just wanting to make sure she was okay and safe.
5.  I love a cuppa tea and a biscuit in the morning.  Aaaaaaa cuppa tea.
6.  I'm off to the hair dresser today to get them to fix up my rats tails.
7.  It's important to get a reaction and jump-start some kind of emotion out of people when they listen to what you're about.

And now..... I give this award to people who make me laugh out loud on a regular basis.

This Copyboy at  NOT WORTH MENTIONING NEVER fails to make me laugh and spit tea on my keyboard on occassion.

My girl, Kelley over at Magento Bold Too has a way to make the most mundane things sound hysterically funny.  She's wickedly clever and one of the best mum's I know...

A local dude, Griffin over at Watkykjy and Fok Jou Projek never fails to get me giggling with his box of chocolate of a blog and his plenty followers' comments.

Jason over at Out-Numbered is an incredibly funny dad and children's book author, who shares stories about being a family man.  He makes me chuckle a lot which makes me read his posts twice coz I want to enjoy it over and over.

Hitch up yer wagon and head over to Australian SAHM aka Stay At Home Madness for a giggle in every post.
