Ubuntu

The word of Ubuntu is very difficult to explain in one word in English. Some people say it means "humaness, to be human", some describe it as "Humanity in humility" or humanity to others.

"I am because you are," is the deep meaning of Ubuntu, a traditional African philosophy recognizing the shared essence within humanity and life.

RIP Madiba, Nelson Mandela

It is quite a somber day in South Africa.

Nelson Mandela past away last night.

Not only is the weather overcast and gloomy, but the mood in the country is melancholy.

Madiba will be remembered as a symbol for wisdom, for the ability to change, and the power of reconciliation.

In Zuma's address to the nation today

“Although we knew this day was going to come, nothing can diminish our sense of a profound and enduring loss. His tireless struggle for freedom earned him the respect of the world. His humility, passion and humanity earned him their love.”

Rest In Peach, Madiba.
