When I was younger I used to say "I don't have PMS - I'm a natural BITCH".
I thought girls and women who complained bitterly about PMS were just using it as an excuse to be a total bitch to everyone around them every month. I never really suffered or understood PMS so I didnt' think it existed. I always thought "those" women were being over-sensitive, a bit too dramatic and over reacting about everything. Drama Queens.
Well... Stoopid old me...
Its really not laughing matter sisters! Well, not anymore..
The second I fell pregnant I became the bitch from hell. Its amazing how pregnancy screws with your hormones - and not only for the time you're pregnant - I think they're altered forever. After the birth of my two girls, I became the no. 1 hideous hag with spikes on her heels and a lip-curling sneer around that time every month.
For the first 6 months or so I didn't really pay much attention, I thought I was just stressed but Riaan cautiously murmered one day that I might be suffering from PMS. How could I be suffering from it if it didn't exist?? I googled and so much information came up.
I heard on 94.7 highveld stereo about http://www.pmsbuddy.com/, "Saving Relationships One Month at a Time". I registered by plugging in the late of my last period and asked Riaan to go register too. Then, at least he could have a loud warning SMS when its gonna happen more or less and the light bulb might go on when I do "loose it" and he can say to himself: Oh yeah...she's premenstrual.
At least then he'll understand why I'm biting his head off, exploding like cheap fireworks and as ratty as Ratatoulle. Perhaps he'll understand when I feel totally ugly and old and decrepid. Hopefully he'll feel a little sorry for me and PERHAPS just let a few things go....
Well...it does exist and it is VERY REAL. It affects 30% of all women during their childbearing years (which could be quite a while) Read up on it and you'll understand it.
So Significant Others, hubby's, boyfriends, bosses, sisters, etc click on the PMS link and go read about it and get some tips to survive it all..
