So, Wednesday we get the day off work to go and vote in the 2014 South African general elections to elect a new National Assembly as well as new provincial legislatures in each province.
Final rallies are happening all over the country and the political parties are meeting anywhere and everywhere. The commercials are splattered all over the television and social media. They are all working damn hard to fight for our votes.
The elections this year commemorates South Africa’s 20th
anniversary as a democratic country.
South Africa as a country has
progressed over the last 20 years since breaking the chains of apartheid
in 1994.
Expats overseas got to brave the queues today, but Wednesday it's our turn to make our mark and let our voices be heard.
I hope the queues aren't too long!
