Day Two of NO TEARS!

It was awesome dropping KK off at school this morning. She was talking in the car again "Going to See Annie" and I said "Yay!".

We went straight to the class, she gave me a hug and a kiss goodbye. I told her that I loved her and that I'll see her late. Annie took her into her arms and she waved me goodbye and blew me another kiss when I turned at the door to wave goodbye to her.

It was a great feeling leaving her happy and quite willing to bid me farewell.

No tears for me in the car today. I'm so happy she's finally settling in with her new class, her new mates and her new teachers. What a weight off my shoulders! :-)

Flat Tyre

When I got to school to drop the girls off this morning, one of the teachers and one of the parents mentioned that I had a flat tyre!

Oh geezo! Typical Monday morning stuff...

I drove very slowly to the garage to have it pumped up and when the man pumped it up I could immeidatley here the dreaded "shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" sound of a punctured tyre.

Urgh! I got one of the guys to help me change the tyre and so now I'm driving around with the biscuit wheel on and Riaan is not very happy with me because I drove from home to school with the flat tyre. He said I've probably made it worse by driving on it and ruined it.

What else was I supposed to do?!

No Tears!

What an awesome break-through!

This morning driving in the car on the way to school, Kaylin was talking about seeing Annie (the teacher's assistant). I didn't pay much attention as I didn't want to stress her out before we got there because I was preparing myself for a traumatic goodbye once again.
We got to class and she went to Annie - no tears, no kicking, no "don't go mummy". It was so great leaving her happy instead of crying and throwing a tantrum. I kissed her goodbye, told her I loved her and that I'll see her later. She still wasn't smiling but there were no tears.
I can't tell you how happy I am.
I'm so proud of you KK my big girl.
