The Tooth Hurts

Jackpot!

Megan, my 7 year old, lost her 7th tooth last night.

No. 7 has been wobbly and hanging on a thread for a while now and she and I have been wiggling that little fucker every day in anticipation for that last little snap and Yureeka!

But neither she or I have been particular successful at detaching that last wee bit thats been clinging on to her gum for dear life.  I guess the tooth doesn't want to take a trip to Tooth Fairland (or wherever Tooth Fairies come from).

Megan casually asked her Dad last night if he would try and get it out.  Next thing I knew, My Boerewors had a tissue wrapped around her wobbly tooth and yanked it out in seconds!

"One...Two...Three...there we go!" he announced as he held it up to Megan.  The  shock on her face was priceless.  The fact that he just came and yanked it out so quickly astonished her (and me for that matter).  Dads just do some things better than Mums.

Megan chose a not-so-smelly shoe to carefully put her tooth inside for the Tooth Fairy.  She prayed for lots of dosh that night.  She got R20 for her tooth and she was dead chuffed with her takings this morning when she woke.

This Tooth Fairy is milking me dry.  I'm in the wrong business demmit!

Another Loose Toof

Megan has two missing teeth at the bottom with her adult teeth growing out at a rate of knots. Her top front toofie is now starting to wobble and she soopa excited.

She'll be having the tooth fairy visit in another few short weeks. She's dead chuffed.

Another Loose Toofie

Megan has another loose toofie. So now her two bottom teeth are wiggly. I told her she should bite into a nice hard juicy apple to speed the process along. As most of you know Megan doesn't eat fruit (only bananas) so this is a great way to get her to try new fruits.

A Loose Tooth Aboot The Hoos

Megan finally has a loose tooth and she's so excited to get back to school and share the news with her friends and teachers. I noticed yesterday it was a bit wobbly when she cheekily stuck her tongue out at me.

She's is now counting the sleepies to get back to school and tell them all that she will be minus a tooth very soon.

We've discussed the Tooth Fairy with her and she adament she doesn't want to leave her tooth in her stinky shoes. She rather wants to put her under her pillow but I don't want The Tooth Fairy to waken Megan when she comes to collect her tooth and swap it for some good hard cash bukaroonies.

Any advice?
