F is for Foosty

“Foosty”

Pronounced : foos-tee

Definition :  Something rotten, gone bad, mouldy, past its expiry date.

Usage : Ma Mirra, gettorinti a foosty dod 'o breed. 

Translation :  I bread your pardon?


Fife is a council area and former county of Scotland. It is situated between the Firth of Tay and the Firth of Forth, with inland boundaries to Perth and Kinross and Clackmannanshire.  

It's also home to the very pretty Balgonie Castle.  Fifers' accent is pretty kewl, they sing when they talk and go up at the end of their sentences.
