Water Park, Coke on a Rope and a Playboy Penthouse Party

A brilliant day out at the water park.

The weather was perfect; not a cloud in the sky, the sun blazing down kissing our skin.  It was a flawless summer’s day and a large group of my friend and I were happily bobbing down the lazy bendy water slide in over-sized hot pink tubes and having a blast.  We were giggling and high fiving each other for bringing our “Coke on a Rope” with us.

“Coke on a Rope” is a two liter Coke bottle filled with brandy and coca-cola tied to our tubes and dangling in the water to keep it cold.  Occasionally, we passed the bottle around to every one for a swift swig, which kept our spirits high and the buzz constant.

Our laughter was getting louder and louder as the booze bubbled in our bellies and we started to attract a little attention from the other Water Slides Natives.  It wasn’t priority to invite more jovials to join our group because that meant less "Coke on a Rope" for us.

Nevertheless these natives were celebrities!  Popular celebrities!
Guess who was there?

Paris and Nicky Hilton!

I shite you not.

Paris in her teeny weeny gold string bikini and Nicky in her retro swimsuit both wearing Gucci over-sized Sunnies and wide smiles.
They were curiously asking us all sorts of questions about why we were making so much racket, what we were laughing at but the Hilton Sisters were mostly interested in our "Coke on a Rope" and what concoction was hiding inside.

When we told the pair of them about the huge amounts of never-ending brandy that was in our bottle, they were sold on joining our group for the afternoon festivities.

We had a great time going on the water slides and in the wave pool.  Our never-ending bottle of booze kept us all going and in the party mood.

When it was eventually time to leave the water park, we all didn’t want the party to end so Paris and Nicky suggested we head on over to their place.  “Why don’t you join us at the Playboy Penthouse?  We have the place to ourselves for the evening!”.

Fuck Yeah!  Of course we were in.  Brilliant!

We all piled in a mini-bus and more merriment was enjoyed en-route to the Playboy Penthouse with Paris and Nicky.  When we got out it was like something out of the films.  It was open bar, snack platters everywhere, topless waiters and waitresses, everyone prancing around in their bikinis (we all had skinny hot bodies and fake golden tans).  We even have a personal  live DJ throwing out loud pumping music and a massive heated pool with bubbles.  We were in heaven!
Next thing I saw the barmen carrying in crates of Caramel Vodka.  Dozens of shots were laid out for us to enjoy.  We couldn’t get enough.  What a wild party we had!

Paris eventually came over and said “Nicky and I have to go, we have a club opening to attend but you guys stay and enjoy the party”.

Of course we did.  You don’t have to tell us twice!

It was the best party ever!  I even caught one of my friends snogging a  woman and was so shocked that she was having some girl-on-girl action!  I was mortified to know that her son was watching her make out with a girl, though!

Then…

…guess who sauntered into the party in his maroon smoking jacket, silk  cravat and smoking a giant pipe?   Hugh Hefner!

Yeah! He was pretty much in the background though.  No one spoke to him, we just all knew who he was but he was almost unapproachable.  He just walked around polluting the air with his stinky pipe and ordered the staff to keep the bar well-stocked and clean.

The best party of my life!

When I woke up this morning I was beaming from ear to ear.  What a saucy adventure!  I closed my eyes to remember all the details so that I wouldn’t forget anything because I knew I was gonna blog about it.

I love my dream adventures!

Dream a Little Dream of Gaga

I bought tickets to a concert and Lady Gaga was the opening supporting act. She had to perform three of her songs and she first appeared at the back of the arena haloed by a massive spotlight. She wore a skin-tight royal blue jump suit covered in sparkly sequence with ridiculously high platform boots and headgear that would frighten even Princess Beatrice.

Lady Gaga was literally leaping down the stairs in those heels in all her glory and I wondered how she didn’t twist and break an ankle. But she made it to the stage! Shew!

I manged to find my seat and guess who I was sitting next to in the front row? Lady Gaga’s wee sister! She looked just like her! We chatted and she said “See those cameras there, there and there?”. She pointed to large cameras dotted all over the stage pointing towards the audience. “Well, those cameras are taking footage of the audience for her new video. So, be sure to wave and go mad when they’re pointed towards you, okay?”.

“erm...okay?!...”, I said, giving Lady Gaga’s sister a raised eyebrow side-ways glance. I didn’t want to tell her that I wasn’t exactly thrilled or a Gaga fan...

Lady Gaga was strutting her stuff and belting it out on stage, but I was keeping my eye on the video cameras waiting for my two seconds to shine. When the camera was pointed in my direction, I did the two thumbs up, mouth open in a extra large smile, like I was having a brilliant time. I was more excited about the fact that I was finally going to have my 5 seconds of fame!

Truth is, I’m not a fan of Lady Gaga at all, in fact, I was actually there for the main event. It was a surprise to me that Lady Gaga was actually there as the supporting act. A small bonus, I suppose.

Lady Gaga’s wee sister turned to me and asked if I wanted to help with Lady Gaga’s wadrobe during the next costume change between songs. She held up two hangers with a really drab looking beige crocheted maxi-skirt and plain black sleeveless top for her next performance.

I was surprised but said “Sure!” immediately thinking that Lady Gaga’s fans would NOT be very impressed with her costume choice. They were used her outrageous fashion and would be completely disappoined with this choice of outfit.

After her first song was over, Lady Gaga came over, grabbed my arm and sped me into a maze of behind-the-scenes tunnels under the stage. So many thoughts went through my mind at that point while we were running through the dark corridors. Geezo, how lucky was I to be in the right place at the right time? I was also kicking myself for not bring my camera with me. I could possibly get a picture of Lady Gaga and myself and sell it for a small fortune on E-bay! I was so excited and yet I was still tying to do my job by keeping Gaga’s headgear perched on her head as it had a long train and Gaga kept tripping over it.

I then did the worst thing I could do. I lied to Lady Gaga!

I pretended to be a star-struck fan and cockted an elaborate story of how I came to be attending her concert. I told her that I’d bought a ticket for her show and forgotten that I’d agreed to baby-sit my sisters two boys the same night, so I gave my ticket to a friend. My sister found out about me giving my ticket away and felt so bad that she organised another baby-sitter for that night and bought me another ticket. I had then lost that ticket and had to buy myself another one. So, in fact I was her biggest fan because I’d bought THREE tickets to her concert.

Lady Gaga was suitably impressed with my story and asked if she could use my name and my story in her biography and in the press. I agreed, of course, not thinking of the consequences. I was just thrilled and flattered to be acknowledge by a huge bad ass celebrity.

Now we were in her small dressing room and she was ripping off her outfit and gesturing for me to hand her the hangers with her clothes on. She put on her drab outfit and I once again raised my eyebrown and thought; “Her fans are not gonna fucking recognise her!” but I faked my appoval . No ornate headgear? Those poor buggers!

In a flash, Gaga was ready and standing on a platform and being elevated upwards bang-slap in the middle of her stage. The second, her fans saw her appear from the floor of the stage they went mental. The screaming was deafening and then I realised why we had been running through all those dark tunnels. We had been en route underneath the stage so she could use her stage lift. It all made sense now.

Watching the empty lift come back down, I suddenly got anxious about the fibs I'd told Lady Gaga. I worried that my family and friends would find out about the lies I’d told her. I felt nervous and guilty.

I was immediately aware of someone else entering the room. It made me jump. The tall man in the black suit introduced himself to me.

He said “Hi, my name is Sebastian”.

I could tell in an instant that he was gay. He was one of those homosexuals that put on the gay voice and use limp-wrist gestures a lot. He was very good-looking and sweet and said that his sole function was to escort me back to my seat safely. I was glad LG had thought of that because all the twists and turns we’d taken in the dark, I knew I’d never find my way back. I also didn’t want to miss the Main Feature. But I wasn’t telling Sebastian that!

Sebastian silently ushered me back through the dark tunnels and corridors. It gave me time to think about what had just happened. I’d just been in the presence of a major celebrity! I faked the fact that I was actually there to see her, when I was actually so damn excited about the Main Feature. I felt guilty all over again. Then I thought to myself; och nevermind, its not like I’m going to ever see her again!

I thanked Sebastian and sat back down Lady Gaga’s sister. We smiled at each other and I woke up.

A Very Odd Night

Yesterday morning my hubby and I put up the tent in the garden for the girls and they had a ball playing in it all day. My sister and Mick popped around for a visit yesterday morning on their way to the Coca Cola Zero Music Festival. Janie was so excited about seeing Oasys live.

After they left, other friends came over and we asked if they'd like to stay for an imprompto braai. We had a really relaxing evening around the braai and then played a wee bit of Guitar Hero. We all love the game!

During the day Megan kept asking if we could sleep in the tent that night and after our friends left at about 10pm, I asked her if she still wanted to. Megan said yes and was very excited. We got our mattresses, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, torches, camping lights all ready and off we went.

Megan and I chatted for a while in our beds and eventually Megan said "You can switch the light off now mummy".

We did and went to sleep holding hands.

Later, I woke up after a really bad nightmare. At least I thought it was a nightmare. I dreamed about a middle-aged woman who was a ghost. She came to visit us in the tent and I got a VERY bad and negative feeling that she was incredibly irritated that we were there.

At first I was not sure if she was irritated with just my presence, or both Megan and I. I asked her but she didn't reply. She just tried to shake me quite vigorously and when I did "wake up". I looked over at her face and I could see her as clear as day.

I was fucking terrified!  I lay there frozen, frightened and totally freaked out!

Was it a dream? Or had this lady really come to visit us in the tent?

That was the question I was left feeling. I shook my head and felt a little silly and went back to sleep.

It felt like only a few minutes later, when she returned to pull me by my arm to get me to leave. I remember thinking "wake up" this is VERY odd and scary. I "woke up" again.

This happened about 5 times. Each time she did something different but each time she tried to get the message across to get me to go inside.  It was the same feeling each time. The feeling that she was fucking pissed off by me being on "her turf" and that I should go back in the house.  She was quite angry and VERY adamant.

The last time she "came to visit", she actually sat on my chest trying to wake me up and pushed hard down on my chest. She even gave me her name; Joan or Jean...I could feel the pressure of her sitting on my chest. She then got so angry and and pissed off becuase I wasn't listening that she put her small hands around my throat to try to get me to vacate.

This freaked me out completely!!! I immediately woke Megan and we went inside.

I even woke my hubby up to tell him about my experience. He didn't reply much - it was the middle of the night...and he's so used to my daft epic dreams.

It took me ages to fall asleep again. I was petrified that if I went back to sleep I'd have the same dream or experience - whatever it was all over again.

I wasn't happy about that so I lay awake for as long as I could tearing my heavy eye apart staring at the ceiling. I nodded off eventually and I didn't have any more dreams.

When I got up this morning, I still had this freaked-out feeling because I could differentiate whether it was a dream or if I really experience some sort of ghost visitor or apparition.

Perhaps I just thought it was a dream to make sense of it all. Perhaps I'm just being silly and it was all a dream..

I have experienced a spirit in our house before but nothing quite as vivid or as physical as this. Nothing quite so angry, negative, irritated and intense.

Her feelings were VERY clear to me. She wanted me to "know" her and remember her because she showed me her face and gave me her name. I knew exactly what she wanted me to do. I wasn't going to refuse.

I'm still puzzled by all of this...I know it all sounds odd but I thought that I needed to share this.
