I found this wee creepy bastard underneath one of our buckets.  I nearly shat myself when I saw him moving.  Look at that nasty red belly.

Alberton Football Club Under 9 Team

Most of today was spent at Bedfordview Country Club watching Megan and her Under 9 Football Team play their wee hearts out in a Tournament.   A good day in the sun, watching 6 games of footie and now I'm knackered.

A Football Tournament and a Booze Cruise

We have had an incredibly busy weekend.

Megan played her first Football Tournament of the season and it was held a Florida Albion Football Club in Roodepoort from 8:30am until 2:30 in the afternoon.  It was blazing hot in the summer sun and a VERY long day.  There was lots of cheering from the side of the pitch from the parents and supporters and plenty encouragement from their coach.

It was an awesome tournament and the Alberton Football Club Under 9 Premier Team, played wonderfully.  For their first time playing as a team, they really did well and got thruogh to the semi-finals.  The semi-finals unfortunately proved too tough for them and they were so disappointed.  We tried so hard to lift their wee broken spirits but only them being presenting with their medals put the smiles back on their faces.

After the Football Tournament, we arranged for the girls to sleep  over at my Sister in Law's house while we went to a colleague's 50th birthday party on a Booze Cruise down the Vaal River.

What a party.  It was a Phantom of the Opera theme and we all got pretty masks and capes on arrival.  R and I had such a ball.  We completel let our hair down and danced all night.  It was awesome.

Weekend at the Vaal

The weekend was brilliant!

On Saturday after Megan’s U/7 football team won 4-0 against Benoni Northerns in an away game – woooohoooo!

Afterwards, we drove through to friends who have a house on the Vaal Dam. We had a great time partying on the Saturday night with moocho Strawberry Dacqs around a massive bonfire scorching my eye brows and nose hairs and on Sunday we went ski-boating and tubing on the dam.  Most of us came home with some sort of injury.  Dirk broke his toes, Percy sprained his ankel and the rest of us nursed hangovers and sore bodies.

Gosh, my body is so damn stiff from hanging on to those inflatable’s. I have discovered muscles I never knew I had! Ouch! and I think I got fucking whip-lash from all the shuddering and pulsating along behind the boat in the Tea Cups.  Not only did the speed on the water give me a free enema, but the ride vibrated all my cellulite away in one afternnon.  Awesome!

We spent most of the day on the water and had a blast! For my girls it was their first time on a boat and Megan’s first time on an inflatable behind a boat. She was in her element! I couldn’t wipe the smile off her face - my wee dare-devil! Kaylin, on the other hand, was much more cautious and decided to remain in the boat.

We had a friend take loads of action photos on the boat with his professional camera and I will upload some of them very soon!!

I pwomise.
