Build up for our 2011 Gauteng Homemakers Expo started yesterday at The Coca Cola Dome and it was hectic! 

Clients registering to build up at 620 stands on 1400 square meters with us at The Organiser's Office.  Never ending queries about stand sizes, configurations, lighting, wall panels, electricity, plumbing, signage, fascia boards was never ending...

I'm exhausted after the first day!  A week to go....

The Gauteng HOMEMAKERS Expo is certain to make you fall in love ♥ with home all over again this February.

Homeowners wishing to improve their living area and those searching for new ideas and latest trends are sure to find what they are looking for.

This year the Gauteng HOMEMAKERS Expo 2011 presents 11 themed areas, adding a new dimension to the HOMEMAKERS visitor's experience.

Apart from the 620 stands showcasing the latest in home lifestyle, the expo also highlights consumer trends with some exciting new features. Landscapers put a spin on garden lustre in Courtyard Couture,Décor on a budget six top designers show you how to achieve creative brilliance without breaking the bank. Young creative artists will illustrate their latest work in the ever popular Future of Design and HOMEMAKERS will be doing their part for charity by fully supporting the Joburg Child Welfare 100 doors project. This initiative sees artists and celebrities creatively jazzing up over 100 doors, many of which will be displayed and auctioned at the expo. 

Be sure not to miss the dedicated Kids Area situated on the mezzanine level this feature will tantalise all parent and kids alike with the array of children’s furniture, toys, clothing and accessories.

Craft is back and is taking not only the continent, but the world by storm, and that is why we are showcasing the best in crafting ideas at this year's expo.  Li Edelkoord, top international trend forecaster, predicted that 2011 will be marked by a rise in creative spirit, a desire for fantasy and the expression of our subconscious. Forgive Me! I won't be reading or commenting much this week

I won't be available much this week.

You see I have this other little thing in my life called a job which takes me away from the office this week.

I will be working in a huge round venue called The Coca-Cola Dome Event Venue.  This means I'll be working Build-Up of our annual exhibition from Monday to Wednesday.  I'll be on my feet all day and the days are very long hours so I won't have much time to post, read blogs or comments.  From Thursday to Sunday I'm working The 2010 Gauteng Homemakers Expo.

Either I'll see your there at the Organiser Office or I'll try and pop in and at least moderate my comments.

Homemakers Expo This Week - Dream It Do It!

Been so busy with the preparations for Our 16th Homemakers Johannesburg Expo opening this weekend at the Coca-Cola Dome.

Organisers had to be onsite on Sunday for a meeting and build up started yesterday. I was on my feet from 8am until 7pm last night. I had to leave at 6am in order to miss the traffic to get there too.

The Expo officially opens to the public on Thursday at 10am and its amazing to see 590 exhibitors building up from scratch over just 3 days. Incredible stuff...so many exhibitors have gone to sooo much effort.

Our Theme this year is Green Living and we have a Kids Roomz Feature Area too.
