And Monday rolls around again...sneaky wee bastard! That means its time to play some music and rock the house. Speaking of rocking music, I got gifted tickets to a show called Rock Royalty at The Barnyard Theater at Emperors Palace. An extremely talented bunch of singers and musicians blasted the speakers with AC/DC, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Led Zepplin and even Tina Turner. They had us all rocking in our seats. My daughters were on their chairs pounding the air and playing air guitar. It was a great family outing with a LOT of whoohooing and wiggling our bums. A kick-arse show for Rock Lovers! Go get your tickets and rock on! \m/ You WILL be up dancing and rockin' out.
and now back to the Theme which actually is BIG BAND
here is Robbie Williams, performing his big bandswing stuff
This is a South African Swing/Jazz Band called The Swingsetters. I discovered them over a year ago. They are a Cape Town band. Give them a listen
Now hop on over to Xmas Dolly, sign up and share yer Big Band Toon. Enjoy the rest of your Monday, Plonkers!
Happy Monday, Plonkers! Today when I was running on the treadmill, this song came on VH1 and I hadn't heard it for YONKS! I thought I'd share it with you. Only the bloggers that grew up in the 80s will remember this one. Remember to link up over at Xmas Dolly and share your Toonz
then I got completely distracted by all the old 80s recommended links on the right.
It was Mother's Day Yesterday. Happy Birthday to all the beautiful and brilliant mothers out there. It's the best JOB in the world Today's Monday Music Moves Me theme over at Xmas Dolly is Mother's Day and I chose this is a beautiful song by Garth Brooks, who he performed it so well on the Ellen Show Enjoy
It's been quite a while since I've participated in one of Xmas Dolly's Monday Music Moves Me. Its nice to be back, my friend.
Today's I'm swingin in with some good old fashioned blues and soul.
Lets start with Rory Gallagher was a brilliant Irish-born rock and blues guitarist with the Taste band in the 60s and then solo 70s and 80s. He was known for his non-stop touring and endless energy on stage.
This bloke's fear of flying eventually made him use strong sedatives and alcohol to cope. His liver gave in eventually and after his liver transplant he just never pulled through ...amazing riffs!
John Lee Hooker was an American blues singer, songwriter and guitarist. He was born in Mississippi and he developed his own driving-rhythm boogie woogie style distinct from the 1930s–1940s. Love his stuff
The Queen of Soul. I adore everything about this woman!
Have a blues post without including Robert Johnson? It just wouldn't be right. This Delta Blues musician allegedly sold his soul to the devil at The Crossrods in Mississippi in exchange for guitar playing powers.

The Dead Weather is Jack Whites's band with Alison Hosshart, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence. He's behind the drums. I'm sure you'll agree with me that he's pretty hot behind a drum kit. Get your feet tapping.
Its been a few weeks since I shared some music with y'all, so I thought I would share a few "obscure" bands and music choices with you this week. I've never really been one to stick 100% to the weekly theme and, yet again, I'm breaking the rules. Coz that's how I roll, Plonkers
Sorry Xmas Dolly, please forgive me. I am still linking up.

2 More Sleepies and its Christmas. For Christmas Eve our wee family are going to visit the Lombardi Lions. We'll get to play with the baby lions and take some pictures with them. It's gonna be a fun and different Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, we're going out for lunch this year. Someone else is cooking, someone else is doing the dishes and someone else is cleaning up. Doesn't get fekking better than that. We're off to Kenjara Lodge in The Cradle of Humankind, in the bush, for a traditional Christmas Lunch and perhaps a bit of a swim in their rock pool. Boxing Day will be spent with My Boerewors' family, more food, more jollifications and more prezzies. So back to the Music... here are some Classics. Have a wonderful and happy Christmas no matter what you do, Plonkers. Love to each and every one of you. Mwah! Mwah! This one is for My Gran, who loved Perry Como...
Well, our Christmas decorations and lights are up and they look great! We even have a flashing Rudolf. And by that I mean our Rudolf has flashing lights...not...nevermind.
For the entire month of December, Xmas Dolly's Monday Music Moves Me theme is Christmas Songs, of course, but as usual I'm breaking the rules, because #1, thats how I roll and #2, I want to showcase someone.
His name is Dave Cad, he's been a YouTube vlogger for a good few years and I've been following him for as long as I can remember. Way back before he was a famous and very popular YouTuber. He's an incredibly talented bloke, with many hidden talents and a brilliant sense of humour. He constantly under-estimates himself and could use another couple of thousand followers. Go check him oot, oh yeah, Dave's on Twitter too.
Happy Monday and another week starts....and another month - The Christmas Month.
Have you got your Christmas decorations up yet?
Some of you may remember this one. This is a Christmas Vlog I did last year for Christmas They don't call me daft for nothin' Now pop over to Xmas Dolly, link up and share you favourite Christmas toonz.
Happy Monday everyone! Today I am honoured to be the gorgeous Xmas Dolly's Spotlight Dancer, which means I get to choose the theme. We've had so many brilliant themes over the years, and I wanted to choose something that hasn't been done already. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it being a cause close to my heart, I thought I'd stick to a "Pink" theme.

Pink Peg Slacks by Eddie Cochran
