I gave up blogging some time ago.... after 7 years of blogging every day!
I loved it. I loved the sense of community. I loved sharing my silly life. I loved sharing it all with the people I met who also loved blogging as much as I did. I think after 7 years of blogging every day you realize just how much time and effort it takes to create, write, schedule and plan all your posts. Not that my wee blog was particularly riveting or interesting. I just enjoyed documenting stuff and sharing with others...
I still come here every so often to get some pictures I posted, or refer back to old posts or story I wrote. I often remember and miss all the awesome people I met along the way with my wee blog. Many have also given up blogging and moved on, some still blog but I've been away so long, I hardly know them anymore and have lost touch.
I may take it up again one day, when my kids are out of the house and I have nothing to do except share my memories. Until then....blog on!

Well, my lovely Plonkers....this is something that I think of a lot. I have actually done this before....I read it on someone's blog years ago that someone had taped a dollar to a snack vending machine. I always wanted to do it. The first time I did it, was at our local garage shop where they have an awesome Chaywa coffee/cappuccino/hot chocolate machine. I taped R20 to the machine with a note saying "Coffee's on Me". Today, I did it again, at our local supermarket. I taped a R10 to one of snack shelves with a wee note saying "RAOK. Snacks on Me" and walked away. However, today played out a little differently to last time. When I was walking away, something pulled me back to sneak a peak at who would find the cash. I stood lurking at the end of the isle pretending to oogle the chocolates. A man and his two young kids came up the isle. His daughter couldn't have been more than six years old and she noticed the money first. Her face was absolutely priceless! Her eyes went huge, she put her hand over her gasping mouth and pointed to the money. Her dad pulled the money off the shelve, looked around smiling and after a few moments of chatting for a while, he picked up a family packet of crisps... Mission Accomplished! It was great to be able to watch the recipient of my RAOK this time! I got such a massive kick out of it, I couldn't stop smiling all the way home. I'm still smiling writing this post.... ...just to know that this simple act made someone smile made me smile wider than ever. What Random Acts of Kindness have you done?
Blogs : the most valuable content type for Marketing
I have been blogging for yonks. It'll be six years this year. Oh yeah, I fekkin' rock this joint.
I have met some amazingly spectacular bloggers during that six years and they have all given me great advice and tips. They've offered advice on how to "keep it fresh" and keep it "interesting". But, I KNOW you Lovelies have even more to saucy secrets to share.
I want to do an "Advice from Other Bloggers" post.
So, what I need you lovely Plonkers to do, is get hold of me by either leaving a comment down below, on Twitter, on Instagram on via old fashioned email adaftlass@gmail[dot]com will do.
Share with me the best piece of advice that either someone has given you, or that you have learned about blogging.
I need all those filthy little treasures that you've picked up over your visits through The Blogsphere.
"Did you know that 329 million people a year read blogs?"
After you have contacted me with your earth-shattering advice and tips on blogging, I will then compile them all into a Big Fat Advice Post and share them with y'all.
"Did you know Blogs give sites 434 more indexed pages and 97% more indexed links?"
Oh, I know... I hear you saying, "Why didn't I think of that?". Right?
Don't steal my shite, ye hear?
The A to Z Challenge is on its way downhill now and today is the letter P. My theme remains Motto versus Insults.
The Motto for P is
Perseverence
I strive to continue to achieve goals that I set for myself. I don't set huge unrealistic goals, I set small goals. It works better for me when I set bite-size goals. tt doens't seem as difficult to hang in there and achieve them when they are smaller. Failure is less likely to happen and I believe that all those bite-sized goals will add up and before you know it you've achieved way more than what you excpected. Even when difficulties creep in and things are not going your way, it is your perserverence that helps you carry on and push through.
When I feel like quitting, I have a saying "This too shall Pass" and it always does.
Not everything will go according to your timetable, not everything will go as you planned but hang in there and things will get better. Don't give up. Persevere.
My Insult for today is
Plonker
The term plonker started out as a reference to someone who was forever drunk on cheap wine (cheap wine is nicknamed plonk) this person was usualy a homeless person, or poor person. Today the term plonker is a very light hearted insult. Its not even seen as an insult, its like calling someone a wally. Its in no way ment maliciously. you call someone a plonker when they say or do something stupid. On my blog I call my Followers, Plonkers, affectionately of course.
Mr Knowitall and Nitebyrd were kind enough to send me pictures of their Daft Scots Lass Tattoos (the trick is to actually wear them G-Man!). They will be featured forever under the Prize Plonkers tab at the top of my bloggy.
Thanx again, guys
Nitebyrd: Taken 12/03/2011 at The 16th Annual Buzz Bake Sale in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The Bake Sale was an all day rock concert with all the bands listed on the card propped in front of the beer! Me and the tattoo had a fabulous time!
So, every Dooche-a-Doodle knows how to embed a link into your blog text so that the reader can simply click on the blue hyperlink and be directed towards the relevant site or blog, right?
I see some bloggers embed links when they make comments. It doens't work with me. How the fuck do I do it?
