To Tea, or not To Tea

Paula's July Blog Challenge topic today is "The one thing you can't do without in your kitchen".

That's an easy one.....

Vanilla Tea and a Kettle

Why Y

A to Z Blog Challenge has only two more days left.

Only the letters Y and Z left, Plonkers.

It's kinda bitter sweet, actually.  You know when you get to the end of a really good book and you don't want to put it down but yet?  When you get to the end of the book, you want to read it all over again but not know the ending?

I feel a little like that today.  The challenge is almost over and what a ride its been.

Today's Motto is

Yearning

This is a yearning belly dance which is actually so beautiful.
Thought I'd thrown that in there for you Plonkers

and today's Insult is

Yobbo

For those who don't know what a yobbo is: a Yobbo is a Plonker with no class, no fashion sense - a bit like the Walmarters. You know, those rotund chicks whose thongs you'd rather NOT see pop out the top of their jeans? Those Plonkers that wear string t-shirts and stink like shite. Yobbos are loud, swear alot and usually drives crappy old rusted car from the 70s.

So, do you know any yobbos? Use the word, it's a fun one.

Happy Long weekend.

Persevere Plonker

The A to Z Challenge is on its way downhill now and today is the letter P.  My theme remains Motto versus Insults.

The Motto for P is

Perseverence

I strive to continue to achieve goals that I set for myself.  I don't set huge unrealistic goals, I set small goals.  It works better for me when I set bite-size goals.  tt doens't seem as difficult to hang in there and achieve them when they are smaller.  Failure is less likely to happen and I believe that all those bite-sized goals will add up and before you know it you've achieved way more than what you excpected.  Even when difficulties creep in and things are not going your way, it is your perserverence that helps you carry on and push through.

When I feel like quitting, I have a saying "This too shall Pass" and it always does.

Not everything will go according to your timetable, not everything will go as you planned but hang in there and things will get better.  Don't give up. Persevere.

My Insult for today is

Plonker

The term plonker started out as a reference to someone who was forever drunk on cheap wine (cheap wine is nicknamed plonk) this person was usualy a homeless person, or poor person.  Today the term plonker is a very light hearted insult. Its not even seen as an insult, its like calling someone a wally. Its in no way ment maliciously. you call someone a plonker when they say or do something stupid. On my blog I call my Followers, Plonkers, affectionately of course.

Ooooh La-Laa Offensive Optimisim

Its Day 15 of the A to Z Blog Challenge which means its the letter O.

Now we normally associate this letter with the Big O but that is an entirely different post and wouldn't really fit in with my Mottos versus Insults theme.  So today's Motto is

Optimisim

I wish I was more optimistic and yes, this is a word that I would ideally want to be used when someone describes me but, unfortunately I am more of a Realist.  I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a pessimist, but I believe that if I expect the worst, I won't be dissapointed.  It's kinda worked for me so far, but I really wish I could see the glass half full.  Know what I mean?  I guess I shouldn't wish something I'm not, right?

I'm not your bubbly giggly-girl.  In fact, I wasn't a giggly girlie-girl, even as a teenager.  I was always sullen and took myself very seriously.  I thought I knew everything but now that I'm all "grown up", I don't take my self seriously at all anymore.  In fact sarcasm is my modus operandi and humour is my medicine.  I have lots of positive energy, just not in the ditsy bubbly kinda way...

It was hard to find an insult starting with the letter O.

Offensive Gestures

I just depends on which country you're from

Keep Calm and Get Yer Kink On

Today's Motto versus Insults is

My Motto - Keep Calm

There are stax of these Keep Calm posters (whatever you wanna call them) doing the rounds.  I must say I love them and came across them for the first time during last year's Royal Wedding.  It said Keep Calm there is still one prince left.  Go check out my post about it here. This one is another of my favourites.

Today's Insult is

Kinky.  Not that I think kinky is an insult actually.  When you call someone kinky, whips and chains and BDSM immediately comes to mind but, to tell you the truth that is mild compared to all the other twsited sexual fetishes and shit out there.  All you have to do is watch the 2 Girls 1 Cup video that went viral a couple of years ago to know that there is some seriously warped individuals out there.

I'm just referring to the regular kinky - you know covering yerself in ice-cream and getting someone to bite yer bum or whack it with a paddle.  Kinky rocks.

Holy Crap on a Cracker, Hooka!

Happy Monday Plonkity Plonkers

A to Z Blog Challenge letter today is H and my theme of Motto versus Insult continues.

My Motto for today is

Hope

We all wish things will turn out for the best right?   To me that's Hope.

When my youngest daughter was about 3 years old we had a therapist who told us she has Aspergers.  At first we were relieved that we had an explanation for her strange behaviours and sudden out bursts.  We learned to deal with her, live with it but it hasn't been easy.  A year ago we took her to one of the best Neurologists for a new assessement and she told us she has some characteristics of an Aspies child but her main problem was her severe ADHD, ODD and OCD.  We are working hard at getting her school ready this year with Occupational Therapy....we live in HOPE that she will be ready for mainstream school next year.  Its been an emotional ride.
This is my story of HOPE.

My Insult today is

Hooker

Hookalicious

PhotobucketI don't want to miss out on Monday Music Moves Me Blog Hop with Xmas Dolly because I'm in the Spotlight today.  This week's theme this week is silly songs that make you laugh.

Motto versus Insult

My big sister once bought me a keyring that said

"I don't have PMS, I'm a natural Bitch".

Well, I guess that tells you what she thinks of me, right?  I also wrote a post on my blog a while back about Why skinny pretty lassies are always Bitches.  Go read it for a laugh.

Blog Challenge - Your First Memory

What is your earliest Memory?

One of my earliest memories is camping with my family up in the Scottish Highlands and it was always so frikken cold and windy there.  We all went for a family walk up the rolling hills and we came across an old farm tractor.  Janie, my older sister ran ahead of me to sit in the driver's seat.  I was little so I obviously couldn't run as fast.  I threw a tantrum because Janie was hogging the tractor seat and steering wheel.  I must've been about 2 years old.  I eventually got my turn in the drivers seat and turning the steering wheel.  Later in the day, karma came to bite me and I fell face first into a fresh Highland Coo Patty (aka Cow Shite).

Lovely!

After that, I remember clearly being in the Bellfield (Scotland) post office standing in the queue and asking my  mum "Mum, How Old Are You?".  My mum replied "I'm 34".  So I must've been about 4 years old.  I remember the dark little cramped post office like it was yesterday, the people, the mumbling of people's chatter, the smells, the Royal Mail posters on the walls, the warmth of holding my mum's hand.  She had long strawberry blonde hair then and I thought she looked so pretty that day!

Blog Challenge

Laura over at Female2Female put up another Blog Challenge.

This time its a Photo Challenge and it has to be a picture which includes the colour blue.

Thought I'd give you My Boerewors as today is his hearing at work. Its been a stressful 2 and half weeks leading up to this day.  My only wish is that I could be there for him but circumstances say I can't.  We sat up talking until late, make notes and playing all the scenarios through.

I hope I can count on my blog readers for some positive karma and prayer.  We need it!

Thanks!
