Welcome Claire Jane

Our long-awaited Claire Jane arrived via emergency c-section on Friday at 17h00 weighing 3.56kg with a full head of dark hair and looking just like Daddy. A wee Mini-Mick. Claire was whisked away to the ICU for a few hours to stabilise her oxygen levels but was soon reunited with her mum and dad. Janie leaves the hospital tomorrow and both mum are just fine. Janie is a little tired and sore but otherwise Daddy and Mummy are over the moon!

Claire is lovely!! My mum and I went to visit yesterday to meet her and she is just so sweet. A very content little girl with so many different expressions already. I couldn't stop staring at her - she's just darling.

Megan was very disappointed that she couldn't get to meet her (I told her there were no children allowed in the hospital because of possibile illness) but Mick sms'ed me this morning to ask if Megan still wanted to come and meet Claire. What a question...off we went and Megan spent the entire time sitting on the bed holding her little cousin like a pro. She looked dead proud and completely in love.
