Oh the 80s.... I was a teenager then and what a great time with music that was. My faves among your choices are the first two - We Are the World and Nothing Compares. And whoa! One Night in Bangkok! *big smile*
By popular demand we are bringing the 80's back in November! Woo Hoo! Everyone loved it & these choices are stupendous! Love Sinead choice & all of the others! Thanks for playing along & Pass the Word my friend & have a great day!
I still listen to Dead or Alive, that entire album is great. Also The Cure, Human League and Sinead. I could never get my head around Morrissey though...his voice is just too fuckin' morbid and monotonous.
And you are the only other person I know who can identify with The Cult...absolutely brilliant rock band. Their "best of" album, "For Rockers, Ravers, Lovers and Sinners" showcased their career magnificently.
That Sinead O'Connor song I played over and over when I was going through my troubled times. I love her voice and most of her songs. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Gillian! Cheers Peg xxxxxx

AH Sinead - gosh, she has disappeared. That must be one of the most emotional songs ever
I'm going to add some of these to my playlist. Sinead had a beautiful voice. I wonder why she fell off the radar.
PS Cute Dafties you have over there!
What? No REO Speedwagon?
(All the videos are blocked at work, so maybe there is and I just can't see it.)
I love every single one of your choices! Nothing truly compares to the music of the 80's, does it? :)
Gotta tell you, I love the, "Shut up I wear heels bigger than your dick". I just noticed that. You are awesome!
I loved myself some Human League! What a fun look back. :)
I loved all your picks. I love, love The Cure and The Smiths. I've been reliving my youth listening to 1st Wave on XM. Good stuff!
Come hop on over to Run DMT to link up and share your picks. :-)
