AH Sinead - gosh, she has disappeared. That must be one of the most emotional songs ever
I'm going to add some of these to my playlist. Sinead had a beautiful voice. I wonder why she fell off the radar.

Oh the 80s.... I was a teenager then and what a great time with music that was. My faves among your choices are the first two - We Are the World and Nothing Compares. And whoa! One Night in Bangkok! *big smile*

The '80's are dead...long live the '80's!!!
I still listen to Dead or Alive, that entire album is great. Also The Cure, Human League and Sinead. I could never get my head around Morrissey though...his voice is just too fuckin' morbid and monotonous.
And you are the only other person I know who can identify with The Cult...absolutely brilliant rock band. Their "best of" album, "For Rockers, Ravers, Lovers and Sinners" showcased their career magnificently.
That Sinead O'Connor song I played over and over when I was going through my troubled times.
I love her voice and most of her songs.
