Xmas Dolly left us with a Freebie this week. But I'm doing my own theme of Scottish Folks Songs or kids songs I remember my mum and my gran singing to me when I was a wee lass.
I can't see the videos until I'm not at work, but the first thing that pops into mind is "Under the Scotsman's Kilt." And now people are looking at me because I'm giggling.
Absolutely brilliant! My hubby was born in Edinburgh and family sing these songs. In fact his name is Allan and his gran used to sing Ali Bali Bee to him and my daughter, Allana. I can't to show him your post when he gets home. Thanks for the wee laugh and the trip down memory lane.
The parents of that loon singing "Donald, where's yer troosers" should be had up for child molestation. And then the brat should be beaten for actually singing it...
I love and remember them all,but as the year's getting older maybe it's time to remind folk that 'Santa's A Scotsman' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpOfHW75ck

Coulter's Candy!! By far ma favourite! My granny used to sing that to us and now my mum sings it to my boys. Love it!!
I have not heard of most of these, so the humor is new to me, and I can definitely appreciate that. Great vids and great music.
Anything with grannie in the title makes me snicker.
What a keen idea! Thanks for sharing. I thoroughly enjoyed it & had a laugh or two! Thanks for playin' along.
Bring on the music!
