Pronounced : foos-tee
Definition : Something rotten, gone bad, mouldy, past its expiry date.
Usage : Ma Mirra, gettorinti a foosty dod 'o breed.
Translation : I bread your pardon?Fife is a council area and former county of Scotland. It is situated between the Firth of Tay and the Firth of Forth, with inland boundaries to Perth and Kinross and Clackmannanshire.
It's also home to the very pretty Balgonie Castle. Fifers' accent is pretty kewl, they sing when they talk and go up at the end of their sentences.

I think I have that jigsaw puzzle!
Interesting!
I don't think I've ever heard that one before. Foosty ... I'm going to start using it :D
Well, foosty is just a brilliant word, isn't it? I can think of several people I might describe as foosty, if I were to forget my manners. :)
Loved the Jade Richards audition video, too. That "braw wee lass" has pipes!
Your blog is delightful. So pleased to have found you--I'll be back for more.
Fife looks so pretty :)
Wooo Fife! Where I'm from! :D Foosty is probably one of my favourite Scots words, that and Oxters 'cos it just sounds so nice to say!x
Fife is very colorful!
Another word I haven't heard of before Lass! Originally I thought it was footsy which didn't make any sense by itself now I actually think about it haha. Fife is awesome looking, I think bananas come from there or something too right?
Ha ha! I've been living in England for too long! ;-)
She has a beautiful voice.
Thanks for the visit and good luck on your diet.
Cheers,
xoRobyn
Oh my God that bread is disgusting!
You've got an interesting theme this year. But I must say, that loaf of bread is totally disgusting. I just lost my appetite for lunch.

Footsy is a funny word, I like it. Thanks for the info.
Love that thank you. Footsie ... here in South Africa many of us (including me) have Scots ancestry so this speaks to me. Beautiful pictures of Fife thank you!
Wow so many words I never heard of before.
Also, I like the yerse and yer you got there.

That bread looks fabulous! Ha! I accidentally fed my son some slightly less mold donuts one morning, as we tend to bumble around in the dark here on weekdays!
footsy...new one...gotta say the moldy bread almost put me over the edge though.
Foosty is a new one on me. She has a lovely voice.

Ooh Foosty ! I can use this word on so many people and things (and no one will be the wiser!)
At first glance I've read it as footsy :)) And then I said to myself, "What is that disgusting bread doing there?" LOL. Foosty >_< My bad.
Sincerely,Miss Uncertain---sidetracked
At first I was thinking i never wanna see a pair of foosty footsies - but 'that braw wee lass' (and her granny) have got me all me teary...

As a wee fella raised in Fife I'm chuffed you mentioned the kingdom.
Wan o' the things I remember was the advice I got as a youngster from an uncle was "never accept a foosty fish supper". In other words if the fush looks like it's been lingering in the tap o the fryer since tea time ask the man tae pit anither wan in fir ye.
I remember some days when I was a paratrooper in the army that I would have paid to eat that fucking bread!
Bleh.
Beautiful.
Awesome.
