Rockabilly versus Renaissance

My Wedding Day
Day 7 : If you could live in any time period in the past when would it be?

That would be the Renaissance period.  My wedding dress was renaissance style and I absolutely loved it and still love it.   I love period films and period costumes.  I love all things vintage.

My second favourite time would probably be the 1950s and early sixties when the PinupGirl was rockabilly was grooving.

I'd love the 30's or 40's, if I could get it without the rampant sexism.

I lived through the 50s, never seemed anything special about them. I am a Regency fan, so long as I had to money to live well.

Meant to say, lovely dress.

Love the wedding dress, the pin up girl was before the 50's. I was born in 50 and that hair style was from the WWII period, slightly before the 50's. Dress styles were awesome then!

A Time in History

I wouldn't care after the 50's, as long as i was in my 20's. 60's was viet nam. Sanitation, no bugs and comfort are a big deal for me so anything before the 40's would suck. They would have to have rock music too.

Dig your Rockabilly get up, but LOVE your wedding gown!!!

I lurve the Regency and late Victorian eras in England, but like Kellie, above, couldn't deal with being some dude's property and no legal rights of my own, even to keep my children in case of divorce. *Funk that.* Also, I'd never have survived living without air conditioning, Advil, and Starbucks. :-)
